BATCHELOR — The Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office confirms Kennith Porche has been located in the woods in Batchelor.
Porche, 66, was found around 1 p.m. in the northern part of Pointe Coupee Parish, specifically in Batchelor. It comes after multiple agencies came together to find Porche and located his 4-wheeler around Noon on July 18.
That’s when the Angola Chase Team’s dogs went in to look for Porche since officials had found his 4-wheeler. He was found roughly 500 feet from 4-wheeler.
“He was very, very weak and dehydrated. He couldn’t move much. He was mumbling and our drone team, posse team and others walked up on him,” said Pointe Coupee Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux.
His last known whereabouts were at his hunting camp at 3220 Gus Lacey Road off of Hwy 417. Deputies say he has not been heard from since Tuesday, July 16.
Sheriff Thibodeaux tells UWK it’s unclear at this time how Porche ended up on the ground, if he fell off his 4-wheeler or not.
However, Porche has been found and is doing well now.
