Police arrest man accused of robbing 5 stores in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge Police arrested the man accused of five robberies throughout the capital city.

BRPD announced Kevin Johnson, 55, was arrested on Dec. 26. Johnson was accused of committing multiple robberies that started on Nov. 20.

Johnson was accused of robbing these five stores:

  • Dollar General, 6832 Florida Blvd
  • Podnuh’s BBQ, 2648 South Sherwood Forest Blvd
  • Smoothie King, 10825 Florida Blvd
  • Kangaroo Express, 3015 Millerville Rd
  • Baskin Robbins, 11222 Florida Blvd

Johnson was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for five counts of armed robbery. 

Sherwood Forest Crime District Crime Cameras and License Plate Readers were instrumental in the arrest.
