Police investigating child shot in St. Gabriel

ST. GABRIEL — St. Gabriel Police is investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday.

Officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Magnolia Springs Parkway in reference to the incident where a child was shot.

When officers arrived, they found a boy suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

St. Gabriel Police is leading this investigation with the assistance of Louisiana State Police Crime Scene Investigators.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to contact the St. Gabriel Police Department and can remain anonymous.
