Denham Springs police are asking for the public’s help locating a couple accused of stealing from Bass Pro.
Officials say on March 28th, a man and a woman entered Bass Pro and attempted to leave without paying for approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise.
Denham Police say store employees became suspicious of the couple while they were in the store hiding merchandise. They passed the registers with almost $5,000 worth of ammo and other merchandise.
Police say an employee stopped them at the door, and the suspects claimed they forgot their wallet in the car, took their child from the shopping cart, and left without returning.
Since they passed all final points of sale, theft charges still apply, according to law enforcement.
