PONCHATOULA — Two Ponchatoula residents were arrested for multiple drug charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Tristan Cummings, 28, was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine, along with some traffic violations. Passenger Ashley Perrin, 36, was booked for possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamines and possession with the intent to distribute Clonazepam (similar to Xanax).
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s narcotics agents were among the officers assigned to patrol during Hurricane Francine on Wednesday. The agents made a traffic stop after a vehicle had multiple violations.
While talking to Cummings, TPSO says the agents noticed items they believed to be illegal and proceeded to search the vehicle. Their search uncovered meth and heroin allegedly on Cummings, while Perrin is accused of having meth, heroin and Clonazepam in her underwear.
Both were arrested.
