Port Allen Police searching for woman in connection to body found in park

Update: Alexis Allen turned herself into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Saturday and has been booked as a fugitive for WBRSO.

PORT ALLEN — Port Allen Police are investigating a man’s body found in a vehicle in a park and now searching for a woman in connection to the murder.

The discovery was made around 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, in the William & Lee Park on Louisiana Avenue in Port Allen. Port Allen Police officers arrived on the scene shortly after and found Ronnie Moore dead inside a blue car.

Officials say Moore had been shot.

Police are now looking for Alexis Allen, 36. Allen is wanted on the charge of second-degree murder.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Allen is asked to contact the Port Allen Police Department at 225-343-5525 or Crime Stoppers 225-344-STOP (225-344-7867).

Because it happened within the city limits of Port Allen, city police will be the lead investigating agency with the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office assisting them.
