LORANGER — A community is coming together to honor a mother and daughter killed, allegedly at the hands of an ex-boyfriend and his friend.
Daniel Callihan stands accused of killing Callie Brunett, 35, inside her Loranger home in Tangipahoa Parish on June 13, 2024 before kidnapping her two daughters, ages four and six. Her four-year-old daughter Erin was found killed a state over in Mississippi while the six-year-old was harmed but alive. Callihan’s friend Victoria Cox has also been arrested in connection to the crime spree, an investigation the FBI has now taken over.
To honor Callie and Erin Brunett, loved ones are hosting a prayer and candlelight vigil to honor them.
It will be on Saturday June 29 at the Loranger High football field. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and the vigil will begin at 7:30. p.m. A Facebook event has also been made for vigil for more details. It is open to the public.
