A pro-life clinic in Baton Rouge was vandalized on July 12, according to a statement released by the clinic.
Messages in red paint were written across the Women’s New Life Clinic (WNLC) building on Colonial Drive. Some of the messages include the number “1312” and the letters “ACAB” which stands for “All Cops are Bastards,” according to the news release.
WNLC is a medical and mental health clinic with locations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. It provides free care to women in unplanned pregnancies as well as other low-cost services such as sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and more.
“While we are saddened by the attack on our Baton Rouge Clinic, we are most devastated that the damage will hurt our ability to serve women,” said Allison Millet, CEO of WNLC in a statement. “We have already seen how these threatening actions have impacted patient appointments. Women visiting our clinic are looking for assistance in their moment of need. We call for peace and respect so we can focus on serving the needs of women in southeast Louisiana.”
Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the incident.
