Surveillance video of stolen puppies

TANGIPAHOA — The dog days of summer have taken on a new meaning for two women accused of getting away with three stolen puppies.

Sarah Folse, 31, and Deanna Witten, 52, both residents of Amite, surrendered themselves to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Thursday, July 4. That comes after the two were caught on video, allegedly stealing three German Shepherd puppies.

They’re charged with felony theft and trespassing after three puppies were stolen.

The incident took place on the evening of Saturday, June 22, at a home in the 17000 block of Highway 40 in Loranger. Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call reporting a theft in progress.

According to the homeowner, two unidentified white women arrived in a white vehicle, entered his property, and took the puppies from their leashes on the back porch. The homeowner’s surveillance cameras notified him shortly after he had briefly put the puppies outside.

As of now, the stolen puppies are still missing. Authorities are asking the public to help them get these puppies back home. Anyone with helpful information is encouraged to contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Office at 985-748-3335.
