REMINDER: Please move over a lane for stopped first responders & others

A State Police trooper was hit by another vehicle on I-10 while conducting a speed enforcement detail. It's why troopers are reminding you to please "move over" when you see a stopped first responder.

A Louisiana State Police trooper was hit by another vehicle around 10am on Feb. 5th while on I-10 near the Bluff Rd. overpass in Ascension Parish.

The trooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The trooper was conducting a speed enforcement detail when he was hit while sitting inside his fully marked vehicle.

Dyresha Moshanay Wallace, 28, of Baton Rouge is accused of driving her 2017 Honda Accord onto the shoulder and hitting the passenger side of the trooper’s vehicle.
