“We are excited to have an opportunity to give back to a generation that has given so much“ ~SADD’s Executive Director
DENHAM SPRINGS — The non-profit group SADD, Students Against Destructive Decisions), is hosting a free lunch-and-learn event Wednesday, Aug. 23, and still has room for people to register.
It’s a first of it’s kind that SADD is hosting, but unlike in the past where the goal has been to educate children against drugs and a fast growing problem called fentanyl, this workshop will focus on those 55 and older.

SADD’s Executive Director Dylan Ivy says the goal for Wednesday’s workshop is to “Educate them about available resources and services provided by SADD, as well as to learn about the organization’s programs that address the misuse of prescription drugs in our community.”
Attendees must be at least 55 years old and will get a free meal (lunch entree and drink). There will be free community resources, educational materials, and exciting door prizes.
Seating is limited so please RSVP today.
