NORWOOD —- The search for a man who went hunting in the Norwood area on Thursday morning has ended after he was found. He is alive and doing well!
Officials say it appears the man got lost in the woods and was found before search parties resumed early this morning, just a few miles into Mississippi.
His name has not been released but he is in his 50’s and from the Central area in East Baton Rouge Parish, UWK has learned.
Multiple agencies began searching for the man after he went hunting and was seen or heard from since Thursday morning. The search included the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries, East Feliciana & East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Offices, Norwood PD and Dixon Correctional Center’s search dogs.
The search was called off for the night and was set to resume Friday morning.
No further details have been released at this time.
