Second arrest made in connection to Southeastern shooting

Sources confirm to Unfiltered with Kiran that a second person has been arrested in connection to the shooting at Southeastern University during a high school graduation. A teenager is the second suspect.

The shooting was after the graduation ceremony for Hammond High Magnet School had just finished. Nearly 300 students and their families were in attendance.

Police said two individuals, believed to be associated with rival gangs, got into an argument that led into a shootout outside of Southeastern University on May 19th.

TRENT THOMAS, 20

Trent Thomas, 20, of Hammond, was arrested within minutes of the shooting. Today, on June 7th, sources say a 15-yr-old has been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Because he’s a juvenile, his name and photo cannot be released. He is facing gun and drug charges both in connection to the shooting and unrelated incidents.
