Sheriff’s deputies investigating double shooting on Pride-Baywood Rd.

GREENWELL SPRINGS, La. — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputies are currently responding to a double shooting that happened in the northern part of East Baton Rouge Parish. The shooting has also forced the closure of Pride-Baywood Rd.

It was a drive-by shooting around 7:30pm in the 19400 block of Pride-Baywood Rd., that’s off of Genola Rd. Two men were outside in the yard when they were shot.

Two people were hit by the bullets in the shoulder when a grey vehicle drove by while shooting. Both people have been transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The motive to the shooting is under investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, Pride-Baywood Rd. is shut down to traffic near the shooting as deputies investigate the scene.
