Cortnie and Chris Leodler of Ascension Parish exemplify the profound significance of family bonds. Their family expanded during the challenged times of the Covid-19 pandemic with the arrival of their sixth member, baby Cooper.

After what appeared to be hearing issues prevented Cooper from developing as a baby, the family soon learned he was on the autism spectrum. At a level three on the spectrum, he needs significant support.

The family believes a service dog could be the answer to their prayers, and be a fur-ever friend for Cooper as he navigates a life not designed for him.
