The parish government has concluded an internal investigation into how unredacted checks written by the parish government ended up on a political mail flyer. Because the files of the checks ended up in the hands of a parish councilwoman, the parish is unable to proceed further with an investigation because she is an elected official. These checks displayed banking account information for the parish and ended up “compromising” the parish’s account—which kicked off the process of closing the account and opening a new one.
