SLIDELL — A months-long St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPO) investigation in the Slidell area ended in two arrests and the seizure of a large amount of drugs, firearms, and money from the suspected drug sales.
On March 19, detectives with the STPO Narcotics Unit and Proactive Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of St. Christopher Drive. Detectives targeted 32-year-old Mason Metz and his roommate, 34-year-old Sesson Mason.

Detectives found and seized the following items inside the residence:
- Approximately 8 and one half pounds of marijuana
- 41.5 grams of cocaine
- 935 grams of THC oil/liquid
- 265 THC vapes
- 98 bags of THC edibles
- 1 pound of psilocybin mushrooms
- 3.7 grams of MDMA
- 46 unlawfully possessed prescription pills classified as controlled dangerous substances
- 8 unlawfully possessed firearms
In addition to narcotics and weapons, detectives also seized a number of items believed to be purchased with money they got from illegal drug sales.

- A Honda sedan
- Assorted jewelry
- Collectible sports memorabilia
- Other valuable collectibles
Metz was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS THC Vapes
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS THC Edibles
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS THC Oil
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS Psilocybin mushrooms
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule I CDS MDMA
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS Cocaine
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS Adderall (4 Counts)
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule II CDS Oxycodone
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule IV CDS Clonazepam (2 Counts)
- Possession with the intent to distribute schedule IV CDS Alprazolam
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a CDS within 2000 feet of a school
Mason was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of a legend drug (4 counts)
- THC Vapes
- Possession of a CDS within 2000 feet of a school
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
“This case highlights the direct link between narcotics trafficking, firearms and large amounts of cash,” said Sheriff Randy Smith. “Our detectives remain committed to identifying and dismantling these operations to keep our communities safe.
