Slidell man charged with child sexual abuse material and animal abuse

SLIDELL — Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrested a Slidell man on a multiple disturbing charges.

Agents received a tip about 34-year-old Dominique Palmer from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

He was arrested on September 11, transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and charged with eight counts of distribution of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13, three counts of sexual abuse of an animal, and one count of obstruction of justice.

Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office said the arrest was a result of a joint investigation involving the LBI Cyber Crime Unit, 22nd Judicial District ICAC Task Force, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Covington Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
