WATSON —- A Slidell man died in a single-vehicle crash that happened Friday night on Hwy. 16.
It was shortly after 11:00 p.m. on July 31 when State Police Troopers responded to a crash on Hwy. 16 near Ben Fugler Road in Livingston Parish.
The crash claimed the life of 39-year-old David Davies of Slidell.
The preliminary investigation reveals that Davies was driving a 2020 Toyota Tundra south on Hwy. 16. For unknown reasons, he went off the roadway to the right and hit a tree.
Davies was not properly restrained, troopers said and died on the scene.
Impairment is unknown and a routine toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
