BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police have arrested a son accusing him of killing his own father over financial reasons.
John Brown, 79, was found dead inside his home on Saturday, Sept. 9 around 9:50am. His son, Douglas Brown, is who said he found him dead inside the house.
Officials say John Brown died from a single gunshot wound and found evidence of a single shell casing on the scene.
Three days later, his son Douglas was arrested in connection to the shooting death of his father.
BRPD said they believe the motive for the son to allegedly kill his father is “financially motivated.”
Sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran that the father was allegedly involved in selling pills out of his home and that’s what the two got into an argument over, leading to the deadly shooting.
