Son shoots, kills 64-yr-old father

Baton Rouge Police are investigating the shooting death of Ronnie Carter, 64, allegedly shot & killed by his own son.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Stonewood Dr. for a man shot in a kitchen around 9:30am on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd.

Ronnie Carter had been shot in the head in a home off of S. Harrell’s Ferry Rd. allegedly at the hands of his son, Adam Carter, 21.

Officials say father and son had an argument that led up to the shooting.

Carter was transported to a hospital, but ended up dying from his injuries.

His son has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
