BATON ROUGE — The Southern University Baton Rouge landmass is currently experiencing a power outage and the Baton Rouge campuses will stay closed today. There is no estimated time for power restoration at this point, but crews are assessing the situation.
All of Southern University’s Baton Rouge campuses—including the Law Center, Ag Center and Southern University Laboratory School—will remain closed today as crews continue to investigate the power outage and restore service across the landmass.
Normal operations and classes are expected to resume Wednesday, Sept. 2. Students are advised to monitor social media for updates.
