Special needs dog in search of his furrever home

Cane is a 1-yr-old pure bred Shih Tzu.

He was found in a small town in west Louisiana in a cane field during a horrible rain storm. When found, both of his eyes were ruptured. Because of that, Cane was blind and in excruciating pain. He was reserved, but very sweet!

The organization that rescued him, Bark & Roll Rescue Companions, took him to a vet dedicated to dog rescues.

Thanks to the generosity of the public, the organization raised enough money through donations for a successful surgery for Cane. Both of his eyes were removed and the day after surgery, his entire personality blossomed.

He was playful, happy & started acting like a 1-yr-old dog! His transformation has been amazing.

Now, he’s ready to be adopted, preferably to a home without kids since he is special needs. He can startle easy. Although he is blind, in every other aspect, Cane is your typical dog, potty trained, crate trained & heartworm negative.

He absolutely loves playing with toys and cuddling in your lap.

If you’re interested in giving Cane his furrever home, please fill out an adoption application here & someone will be in touch with you.
