ASCENSION — A Gonzales man & St. Amant high school teacher was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Rory Fore, 53, on Thursday, August 3.
Juvenile Unit detectives started investigating after a 16-yr-old told deputies that she and Fore had engaged in sexual intercourse. During the interview, deputies said Fore confessed that over a period of time, he had engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim, as well as another female juvenile victim age 17.
He was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Fore works as a teacher at St. Amant High School in Ascension Parish. Although the charges are not related to Fore’s employment, APSO said they are working closely with the Ascension Parish School System during this ongoing investigation.
