ST. FRANCISVILLE — A crash Wednesday morning in West Feliciana Parish has left a 49-year-old St. Francisville man dead. Jason Freeman, 49, died in the crash.
It was around 9 a.m. on January 28 Louisiana State Police Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on LA 10 at LA 965 in West Feliciana Parish.
The preliminary investigation shows that Freeman was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 east on LA 10, just east of LA 965, and approaching a slight left-hand curve. For unknown reasons, Freeman did not turn into the left-hand curve and instead went off the right side of the road and hit a tree before it went up in flames.
Freeman died on the scene from his injuries. Due to the severity of the crash, it’s unknown whether or not Freeman was buckled. Troopers say impairment is not suspected in this crash, but a toxicology sample was submitted for analysis.
