ST. GEORGE — Charges are pending for a man who accidentally shot himself and is still in a hospital.
It was around 11 p.m. on Oct. 8th on Mint Dr. when East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies responded for a shooting, and learned the victim ended up shooting himself accidentally.
Deputies say a man showed up where his ex-girlfriend was and got into a fight with her new boyfriend. At some point, he pulled out a gun and the two struggled over the weapon. That’s when EBRSO says the man accidentally shot himself.
Officials say charges are pending for the man upon his release from the hospital.
