St. Helena murder suspect arrested in Orleans Parish

A 23-yr-old wanted in connection to a murder in St. Helena Parish was arrested in Orleans Parish nearly three weeks later.

St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s deputies say Dedrick Henderson, 23, was arrested in Orleans Parish in connection to a murder in St. Helena Parish in Dec. 2021.

Henderson, of Roseland, is one of four people wanted for a murder investigation in the 100 block of Horseshoe Rd. on Dec. 21, 2021 according to officials.

He was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 in Orleans Parish and transported back to St. Helena Parish where he was charged with first degree murder and first degree armed robbery.

Officials say Henderson also faces charges in Tangipahoa Parish.
