SLIDELL — A Slidell man was recently arrested for nearly 30 counts of possession of child sex abuse material, along with one count of sexual abuse of an animal.
Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested 23-year-old Marc Ploesser of Slidell on Sept. 5. The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) Cyber Crime Unit, the Slidell Police Department, and the Covington Police Department were all involved in the investigation into Ploesser.
Ploesser was arrested for the following:
- 27 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material under the age of thirteen (13)
- 1 count of sexual abuse of an animal
According to the Attorney General’s Office, Ploesser was initially transported to the Slidell City Jail and later to the St. Tammany Parish Jail for booking.
“Cases like these are always disturbing for our LBI Cyber Crime Unit agents. I’d like to thank them for their hard work on this case, along with the Slidell Police Department and the Covington Police Department,” said Attorney General Liz Murrill.
His bond information is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
