DENHAM SPRINGS — A 27-year-old man has been arrested after investigators say he attempted to engage in sexual acts with a minor. He was previously arrested for possession of porn of juveniles under the age of 13.
Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit worked with the FBI on an investigation related to the solicitation of a minor. Patrick McManus, of Denham Springs, was identified as the suspect. Investigators say McManus engaged in sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed was 15 years old.
McManus was arrested on Sept. 19 for computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail.
He was also arrested in 2023 for possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
