Student in custody following threat at Ponchatoula High

PONCHATOULA — One juvenile was arrested Friday morning following a bomb threat.

Authorities say the juvenile was arrested following a Snapchat message that indicated a “grenade” had been dropped inside Ponchatoula High School.

The school returned to session after law enforcement identified the post as a prank.

The juvenile was charged with terrorizing, interference with school operations and false communication of a bomb threat.
