Thibodaux police arrested a juvenile accused of shooting and killing a Napoleonville teenager on Sept. 10.
Officials say a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 15-year-old Jairen Cole.
Cole was a Thibodaux native and a resident of Napoleonville.
Thibodeaux police responded to the call near the 1700 block of South Barbier Avenue around 6 p.m. When police arrived they found Cole had been shot multiple times in the lower torso area inside a home.
Cole was transported to Thibodaux Regional Health System and later transferred to University Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The 15-year-old boy is being held at the Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility.
The incident remains under investigation.
