TICKFAW– The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle connected with an attempted auto theft.
Officials say deputies responded to Sibley Road in Tickfaw just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 6 after several suspects attempted to steal a vehicle from a home.
As captured on a home security camera, a maroon SUV stops on the roadway in front of the residence. Two people exit the vehicle and walk across the yard in an attempt to enter a vehicle belonging to a contractor working on the home.
Detectives describe the vehicle as a red or maroon Nissan SUV, possibly a Pathfinder or Xterra, with loud exhaust.
