ROSELAND — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) arrested three people—a father, son, and a convicted felon—after finding multiple illegal drugs in a narcotics operation investigation.
In February, TPSO Narcotics detectives started investigating a home on Bennett Road after receiving complaints from multiple citizens. Through surveillance and investigative efforts, detectives confirmed illegal drugs, including meth, heroin, and fentanyl were being sold at the home.
Weeks later, detectives and Hammond Police officers served a case-related arrest warrant on 48-year-old Travis Allen Gunter, who already had outstanding narcotics-related warrants. During the arrest, they found suspected heroin/fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, evidence of drug distribution, and a loaded rifle, per TPSO.
Travis Allen Gunter’s son, 26-year-old Travis Michael Gunter, was also arrested, as was 32-year-old Jervenski “Duck” Johnson.
Travis Allen Gunter was booked on one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I narcotics, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Illegal Carrying of Weapons While in Possession of CDS, Resisting an Officer, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II narcotics, along with two outstanding warrants.
Travis Michael Gunter was booked on one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II narcotics and Possession of CDS.
Johnson was booked on one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I narcotics, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Illegal Carrying of Weapons While in Possession of CDS, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II narcotics, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
