NATALBANY — Tangipahoa Parish detectives, along with Hammond Police, arrested a Natalbany man in late July for multiple instances of rape of a child under the age of 13.
Officials arrested 42-year-old Willie Jackson III on July 29 on one count each of first-degree rape with the victim under 13, first-degree rape and molestation of a juvenile, as well as two counts of aggravated crimes against nature.
In November 2024, the Hammond Police Department reached out to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding an investigation of a rape case involving a 12-year-old. The victim told officials that Jackson had allegedly committed multiple instances of sexual abuse going back five years and occurring in multiple states.
After their investigation, officials secured a warrant for Jackson’s arrest. However, even though they searched multiple locations around the country, they were unable to find Jackson. He remained “Wanted” until Hammond Police detectives learned that he may be at a home in the area.
Tangipahoa Parish detectives and Hammond Police officers arrested Jackson on the morning of July 29.
