PONCHATOULA — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have updated information on a Ponchatoula man reported missing in late June. Detectives now have video of James Wood, 43, at the LA 22 Mart that confirms he was last seen there on June 19.
Bank records had indicated that Wood was last at the La 22 Mart in Ponchatoula on Saturday, June 21, but video evidence now confirm he was last seen on Thursday the 19th.
The store’s video shows Woods wearing all black (t-shirt and long pants) and leaving the location down Lee’s Landing in the direction away from LA 22. James is 5’8”, weighs 148 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.
Woods’ car, keys and other belongings were found at his home in the 40000 block of River Road in Ponchatoula where he lives alone, but no one had seen or spoken with him in a week, officials reported on June 28.
