Tangipahoa Parish requesting help finding attempted murder suspect

UPDATE: Jamie Felder, Jr. has turned himself in to our detectives as of 3:30 this afternoon.

TANGIPAHOA — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding Jamie Felder Jr., 28, of Hammond.

TPSO says Felder is wanted for two counts of attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of illegal discharge of a weapon.

TPSO Chief Jimmy Travis said the charges are related to a shooting on April 11, 2023 on Old Baton Rouge Highway in Hammond.
