Tangipahoa requesting help finding missing man

UPDATE: Joshua Tate has been located in good health.

HAMMOND – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding Joshua Tate, 38, of Hammond, La.

Tate was last seen around 9AM on April 8, 2023 on Old Baton Rouge Highway in Hammond. TPSO Chief Jimmy Travis said Tate is reported to have been diagnosed with medical conditions that may impair his judgment and/or actions.

Tate is described as a white male, 5’10” tall and weighing 180 pounds. His right elbow was surgically removed and his arm appears to be amputated.

Tate was last seen last seen wearing a gray colored shirt and pants as he was getting into a small, gray four-door vehicle.

TPSO said also in the vehicle was an unknown black male who was wearing a dark gray shirt and black gym shorts.
