Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office increases reward to $5,000 for missing Hammond man

HAMMOND, La. – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff has increased the reward for any information about a missing Hammond man who disappeared last October.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards increased the reward in this case to $5,000 for any information leading to the whereabouts of Stephen J. Cottier, 52, of Hammond. He was last seen on October 13, 2023. A friend said Cottier sent a text on October 14, 2023, to say he was returning to Hammond from the Covington area but he never showed up.

Cottier was driving a blue Ford F-150, with Louisiana license plate Z517286. In October, he was reportedly seen on Highway 40 in the Uneedus area, near the Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parish line.
