DENHAM SPRINGS — Target has officially purchased land to build a new location in Livingston Parish. This will be the third Target location in the metro Baton Rouge area.
This purchase comes after years of speculation that the major retailer would come to the Juban Crossing shopping area in Denham Springs. According to a recent listing in the Louisiana Commercial Database, Target plans to build a 128,000-square-foot store in a currently wooded area between the RaceTrac and The Retreat at Juban apartments. It also notes that five to six outparcels are planned adjacent to the new store.
According to purchase closing documents, Target paid $6,250,000 for the property.
