Task force searching for escaped inmate from WBR

The U.S. Marshal’s Task Force is currently searching for a work release inmate who escaped Monday night from West Baton Rouge, according to WBRSO Sheriff Mike Cazes.

Keandre Sheppard, 22, allegedly jumped over a fence around 9:15pm on Sept. 26th.

Sheppard was serving time for simple robbery. Sheriff Cazes said he now will also be charged with simple escape.

Sheriff Cazes said the task force is actively searching for Sheppard. He added his last known address is in north Baton Rouge.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers 344-STOP.
