Teen arrested after alleged armed robbery in Amite

The Amite City Police Department arrested an 18-year-old man accused of robbing a 15-year-old.

Law enforcement arrested Jamarcus Cyprian on multiple charges, which include armed robbery stemming from an incident that occurred on Nov. 13 in the 800 block of South Second Street.


Officials say the juvenile victim identified one of the suspects. After executing a search warrant at a home on Gullet Street, officers confiscated three handguns that were reported stolen, an AR rifle, two Draco-style firearms, 55 grams of marijuana and firearm magazines and ammo.

  • Illegal Use of a Weapon
  • Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile
  • Three counts of Possession of Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of Stolen Things
  • Possession of Dangerous Weapon while in Possession of CDS
