An 18-yr-old died from his injuries over the weekend after he was beaten a week ago in Baton Rouge.
Hayes Sellers was in a church parking lot on Nebraska St. around 2am on May 8, 2022 when BRPD says Edmond Revelle, 20, beat him.

Sellers was “gravely injured” when Revelle allegedly used his fist to hit Sellers. Police said Sellers was trying to de-escalate whatever was going on in the church parking lot on Nebraska St. when he was beat.
Sellers was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He fought hard to survive his injuries but lost that battle over the weekend.
Revelle was arrested and charged with attempt second-degree murder. He did bond out, but now, the charge has been upgraded to second-degree murder. Revelle is expected to be re-arrested on the upgraded charge. A second person, Jayce Lambert, was arrested on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 for principal to second-degree murder. That means Lambert is accused of assisting Revelle in Sellers’ beating death.

Edmond Revelle was originally arrested for 2nd degree battery per the EBR prison records on a 25,000 bond.
