DENHAM SPRINGS — “The Devil Wears Dunks,” which started as a YouTube documentary series, will now be a 5-part series about Denham Springs man Ricky Foster, who was arrested April 1 on multiple charges, including third-degree rape and extortion. The entire documentary will soon be available on the ECCO platform.
Jeremy Greene, CEO of No ID Agency and Ecco Technology, spoke with UWK about Foster and the documentary, which is set to release its fourth episode soon.
Greene said he first connected with Foster in February after Foster messaged him on social media, warning that a pair of blue-tile Nike shoes Greene planned to buy were fake. “He actually saved me, like, $5,000 to be honest with you and then we just started talking.”
Not long after, Greene said Foster claimed he wanted to invest $15 million in his company. Greene also said Shaquille O’Neal, whom he described as another investor, even gave Foster a shoutout.
But Greene said Foster never followed through.
“He’d say, ‘I’m gassing up my private jet. I’m flying out there,’ and he just kept making excuses for not coming,” Greene said. “He was not acting like any investor I’d ever dealt with.”
Greene said Foster also sent an image of what he claimed was a $22 million home he owned in Florida. After Greene’s team analyzed the image using AI, they determined it appeared to be an Airbnb property.
“That’s when I knew everything was fake,” Greene told UWK.

“That is when I decided I was just going to do a YouTube episode on him,” Greene said. But as he dug deeper, he realized one episode would not be enough.
“Once I started talking to everybody, there were so many victims. It was just like we had to put him away, period.”
Greene said that after the first episode was released, more people began reaching out with their own experiences involving Foster.
Denham Springs Marshal Joe Shumate said he was also targeted. Shumate told UWK that Foster repeatedly tried to buy his Denham Springs restaurant, eventually agreeing to a price.
“He said, ‘I’ll take it. I want it.’ So we get to the closing. He gets there and says, ‘I don’t have the money. Won’t have it until tomorrow,’” Shumate said.
After agreeing to wait, Shumate said Foster gave the same excuse again. That’s when he began looking into Foster more closely.
Shumate later connected with Greene and helped link the production team with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, which launched an investigation into the allegations highlighted in the documentary.
“They didn’t take their time. They moved fast,” Greene said of investigators. When he learned an arrest was coming, Greene said he was overwhelmed with emotion.
“I cried. I felt relief. I felt that I was proud of this small town coming together and doing what they were supposed to do. I was really proud.”
Foster was arrested with his bond set at $850,000, but Greene said the work is not finished.
“Job’s not done. When he’s in prison and justice is served and he’s convicted, then I will feel like we’ve accomplished something. Right now, I feel like the job is not done. There are more stories. There are more victims,” he said.
LPSO has said their investigation into Foster is ongoing. Foster’s current wife has been questioned as part of the investigation.
