BATON ROUGE — The rides. The food. The laughs. The good times will certainly be rolling as The Thrillville Fair brings its exhilarating amusement park to Baton Rouge.
Featuring over 30 carnival rides, including a three-story rollercoaster and a towering 108-foot Ferris wheel, Thrillville is set to take over the Baton Rouge Fairgrounds at Airline Hwy. Park for a 10-day extravaganza.
Barend Botha, spokesperson for Kissel Entertainment, expressed excitement about the new location, stating, “We’re here to bring fun to everyone and create the best event possible.”
In addition to the biggest traveling rollercoaster, the fair will showcase attractions such as Nemesis 360-an inversion ride that flips and spins you upside down-a drop tower, swing tower, and classic fair rides like the carousel.
“Ensuring safety is our top priority for the public and our operators, and we take it seriously,” Botha emphasized. “Each ride undergoes a specific inspection, and numerous prior inspections are conducted before we open.”
The Thrillville Fair is not just about rides; it offers various family-friendly events, including pig races and magic shows.
“We have a sea lion splash, the only place in Louisiana where you can witness live sea lions. Our petting zoo features kangaroos, alpacas, and adorable baby goats.”
In addition to the thrilling experiences, attendees can indulge in a variety of fair foods, ranging from funnel cakes and street tacos to turkey legs. The Thrillville Fair promises a delightful and safe environment for all to enjoy.
The fair will take place from February 29-March 10.
- Monday-Friday: Fair opens at 5 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday: Fair opens at 1 p.m.
How much does it cost?
- Monday-Thursday: Free admission; $30 unlimited rides
- Friday: Admission $10; add unlimited rides for $35
- Saturday-Sunday: Arrive before 6 p.m. and ride all day for just $25; After 6 p.m. unlimited rides $45
(Everyone pays for admission and rides on Saturday and Sunday) - Children 36″ and under and Seniors 65+ get in free EVERY DAY (must purchase armbands to ride)
