Thibodaux woman arrested on charges of distributing fentanyl

NAPOLEONVILLE — A Thibodeaux woman was recently arrested on felony drug distribution charges in Assumption Parish.

As part of “Operation Fresh Catch,” Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics agents began investigating 30-year-old Alexis L. Gros for trafficking drugs. After an investigation, the agents obtained arrest warrants for Gros.

Per the sheriff’s office, Gros was arrested in St. Mary Parish for local charges before she was released to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office custody.

She is charged with distribution of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance (fentanyl).

Gros was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Nov. 12. She is in the center awaiting a bond hearing, per the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
