Christopher Duhon Jr., 24, was arrested in connection to a fire on June 19, 2022 in the 5600 block of Matthews St.
Baton Rouge Fire investigators said the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office stopped Duhon for a possible DWI. He was eventually arrested and booked by State Police for DWI.
During the investigation, officials found a high-capacity magazine for a rifle. It’s how the Baton Rouge Fire Dept. said their investigators were able to connect Duhon to the Matthews St. fire.
Duhon is charged with simple arson and simple criminal damage to property.
His arrest makes the third arson arrest in the last week for BRFD.
