Third person arrested in fatal Zachary shooting

ZACHARY– Zachary police made the final arrest in the shooting death of a teen on July 28.

Officials say Ki’Drell Dantzier, 20, the final suspect in the fatal shooting of Makayla Moore, was captured and arrested in Houston, Texas, on Aug. 22. He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on a Zachary Police Department warrant for second-degree murder.

The fatal shooting happened at the corner of New Weis Road and Lee Street in Zachary.

Zachary Police have said an argument led to the shooting, with Moore knowing her suspects. She had left the alleged suspects’ home and was walking down the road when she was shot and killed, according to police.

William Cage, 21, and Derrionte Moore,23, were arrested previously in the case. Both men were charged with principal to second-degree murder.
