Update: Three arrested following deadly hit-and-run in Gonzales

GONZALES — Louisiana State Police have charged three people following a deadly hit-and-run crash that left a woman dead in Gonzales.

Troopers say Alexander Andrade, 18, of Gonzales, was driving a 2015 Dodge Dart when he allegedly struck 41-year-old Sarah Berteau on LA 935 near Roddy Rd. around 1 a.m. on Monday.

Initially, Troopers said the driver sustained minor injuries, and impairment was not suspected. However, on Saturday, they announced that Andrade was charged with felony hit-and-run driving, failure to seek assistance, and driving without a driver’s license.
