BATON ROUGE — Three people are at large and six others have been arrested following a narcotics investigation in multiple parishes. Agents say they seized around 760 lethal doses of fentanyl, along with cocaine, meth, Mojo and other drugs and weapons.
Over a three-week period, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agents investigated multiple people suspected of distributing a variety of drugs in the Baton Rouge area. During the investigation, agents made multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl and conducted numerous hours of surveillance.
From their investigation, they obtained search warrants for locations in East Baton Rouge Parish, as well as Ascension and Livingston parishes.
On Dec. 4, multiple agencies and divisions searched multiple locations throughout the three parishes. They made the following seizures:
- 76 grams of fentanyl (approximately 760 lethal doses)
- 1 kilogram of suspected black tar heroin (to be tested at crime lab)
- 12.2 grams of cocaine
- 3.5 grams of crack cocaine
- 152 grams of marijuana
- 6.4 pounds of suspected Mojo (synthetic opioid)
- 31 pints of Promethazine
- 12.2 grams of cocaine
- 43 dosage units of Oxycodone
- 13 dosage units of amphetamine
- 1.87 ounces of methamphetamine
- 12 dosage units of Suboxone
- 1 dosage unit of Hydrocodone
- 82.3 grams of cannabinoid
- $3,841 in currency
