Law enforcement officials from multiple agencies are piecing together exactly what all happened Saturday, Oct. 9th with Matthew Mire in three different parishes.
Unfiltered with Kiran has learned Mire has not been booked in East Baton Rouge, Ascension or the Livingston parish jails, which leads one to believe Mire is injured and at a hospital. Per procedure, once he’s released from the hospital, he will booked in a jail and charged.
October 9, 2021
-12:30am in the 17000 blk of Hwy 444 at a mobile home park in Livingston Parish close to French Settlement/Frost/Livingston areas
Mire is accused of shooting a man and woman with non-life threatening injuries
He’s also accused of stealing a 2013 Chevy Silverado truck from Livingston Parish and drove to Ascension Parish
-Around 3am on a home on Dutton Rd. in Prairieville in Ascension Parish
Mire is accused of shooting his cousin Joseph Schexnayder, 42, who was last reported to be in critical condition in surgery
Mire also accused of shooting Schexnayder’s long-time girlfriend Pamela Adair, 37, who died at the hospital from her injuries
(Adair was first identified as Mire’s half-sister by officials but has since been corrected to his cousin’s girlfriend)
-Around 5am near Hwy 42 and Jefferson Hwy
A State Police trooper attempted to stop Mire for a traffic stop but instead, Mire accused of shooting at trooper and then fleeing
That trooper suffered non-life threatening injuries
Chase started and it’s unclear if the gun battle was during the chase or after it ended at Hoo Shoo Too near Tiger Bend where Mire allegedly fled on foot
-Around 6pm at the Capital One Bank on Airline & Jefferson highways
Master Trooper Adam Gaubert was found dead in his unit “ambushed”
Sources have said Gaubert was shot multiple times and added that he was dead much earlier in the day but wasn’t found till closer to 6pm. Multiple sources have said he had been dead since about 3am and wasn’t found till nearly 15 hours later.
-Around 7:30pm at Hoo Shoo Too & Tiger Bend
Another gun battle allegedly between Mire and officials and that’s when Mire allegedly went and hid in a home
Sources have said he was cornered in the home before making a run for it, then jumping in a body of water (not sure which one yet) and then running through some woods where K9 was on his trail and he was eventually arrested
-10:45pm at Hoo Shoo Too & Kendalwood
Mire was finally taken into custody
Mire’s charges have not been released just yet, but he is accused of shooting a total of six people across three parishes, Livingston, Ascension & East Baton Rouge. Two of the six people shot died & one is in critical condition. Two of the six shot were Louisiana State Troopers, one who died and another who was injured but expected to be okay
